God has been very good to us as a church. My wife (Josefina Edu) and I (Ayotunde Edu) believe we have really been blessed with gifted people to assist us in the Ministry and also a wonderful congregation.
Due to the nature of the situation in Cyprus, we have had leaders come and go.
But God has remained faithful to His work by consistently providing us with able leadership.
The most fascinating thing is that with each group we started, He has blessed
Worship
The Sanctuary is a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, a full gospel Pentecostal Church with it's headquarters based in Nigeria. It was started on the 22nd of June 2003 with a membership of less than 15 people, since then it has grown to a membership of over 150 people consist of different nationalities (Greek Cypriots, Filipinos, Sri Lankans, Russians, Ukrainians, Ghanaians.).
Most of the services are held in English but translation is made available for different language groups.
Pastors Tayo and Yetunde Ayodele conceived the idea of starting a work in Cyprus in line with the vision of Daddy Adeboye. By divine guidance they met with Pastor Ayotunde Edu and his wife Josefina Edu to discuss the possibility of overseeing the work. After prayers and deliberation the work was initiated in Limassol.
The Church opened up a parish in Nicosia called the Bethel Parish currently led by a young man by the name of Kolawole Oni. It has membership of about 50 people.
The Church also has a Sri Lanka fellowship and in 2008 we are hoping that they will be able to stand has a Parish. The leader of this group that will be formally known as the Vineyard Srilanka Church is Sugath Kumarasinghe. The group consist membership of almost 100 people.
It is also exciting to see our Russian speaking membership growing. It is our hope that in the near future we will start a Russian speaking parish.
Ultimately it is our desire to see the a Greek speaking parish established in God’s perfect time.
We currently running home cell groups in Srilanka, Russian and Greek.
Our Mission:
The mission of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, is to proclaim the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ to the lost and to admonish that we live a sanctified life, growing constantly in the faith for the advancement of the kingdom of God and the glory of the Lord.
